The membrane is constructed to be tensioned over its anticlasticly shaped surface by the use of compression fittings in the edge of the
membrane, joined to the ground anchors. Using the features of a hyperbolic paraboloid ( doubly curved ) surface means the structure remains stable in bad weather conditions.
